Seminole High’s Homecoming featuring a 56′ video wall!

Recipe for homecoming success? The 4SO Crew 56′ Video Wall A 20×30 truss setup with an incredible light show 1500 Glowsticks A second DJ for the outdoor dance floor Black lights and UV bubbles Colorchanging Uplights Indeed, Sanford’s own, Seminole High School, really turned up this year… it was an intense experience for everyone, including my crew. We were awestruck at how good everything looked… it was better than expected. On a personal note, my trusty E150 has 217,000 miles on it (at the time of writing) and had the original serpentine belt. Apparently something flew up and frayed it. Needless to say, an emergency repair had to be done on the spot… but all ended well thanks to Kelly and Christina who came in last minute to help tow the trailer and help us set up. (Waiting for the tow truck and repair supplies set us back 2 hours).\ We always have a backup plan, and ultimately, everything always works out. God has watched our backs this homecoming season, we’ve been blessed for sure!!! That being said, the energy was infectious! Check out the photos and video below!!...

FSC’s 2012 Mocsquerade Ball!

Just got back from being the DJ at FSC’s Mocsquerade ball. It’s supposed to be outside, but there was a 50% chance of rain. Well, of course it didn’t rain… but it didn’t stop everyone from having a good time! Check out the pics and video below!...

Mulberry’s homecoming!

This year, Mulberry wanted to do it bigger than they’ve done it before. Being a small school, they needed to find a perfect balance between AMAZING and WE’RE NOT BROKE. 4SchoolsOnly helped them achieve that and created the perfect package, including a video commercial to help boost ticket sales. Well, I guess it worked since they sold more tickets than they have before! The theme was GLO CRAZY so we brought out several hundred glowsticks, black lights, strobes, and lots of color changing floods. Plus, the energy they brought out was amazing, too! Check out the pics and video below, including my turntables with some crazy effects added...

The Last Knight – Ocoee’s end-of-ze-world homecoming!

I got a text from the sponsor during the summer that gave me a sneak preview into this year’s theme: The Last Knight (aka, the end of the world.) Immediately my head spun at all the different angles we could take this. I was totally psyched and so were the students. The front entrance was really neat: As you walk in, you see emergency lights and a people in hazmat suits trying to escape. Our strategically placed strobes made it look like the alarms were going off inside. Another light gave a nuclear waste type feel. A re-make of the school’s sign is on the floor, busted up from the obvious natural disasters. You walk under a fallen tree and are now inside a dark tunnel with broken pieces of road. Strategically placed strobes looked like downed power lines and thick clouds of fog were timed to match the whole look. As you enter the gym, the lobby is made to look like a tented mobile hospital. The inside was decorated with burning flames on one side, enhanced by our lighting, and a giant tidal waves with a looping video clip of end of the world scenes. From the dancing standpoint, we provided photobooth, overhead lighting, satellite lighting structures, a giant 20′ video screen, and lots and LOTS of energy! This, by far, has been my favorite theme. WOW! Check out the photos and videos below!...

FSC’s Fall 2012 Pep Rally

We do a lot of work for Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL. They’re a very high-spirited school that pulls out all the stops when it comes to creating a new experience. We followed up from the Pep Rally we did earlier this year, but we handled the music as well. I was dead from a back to back homecoming weekend, so I brought our very own DJ Hitman to handle the music while I ran the lighting. Sam did an incredible job and the teachers and students loved him! Check out the photos and video my wife took and see for yourself how awesome pep rallies can...

Winter Haven’s Homecoming!

“Between the Devil and the Deep, Blue Sea” was their homecoming theme. In otherwords: ONE SIDE RED, ONE SIDE BLUE. I love these types of themes, as we can do some great things with the lighting, and they are easy to decorate for. One side had blue flames with red uplights, whereas the other side had a water effect with blue uplights. A giant X was set above the dance floor (X marks the spot, get it?) while a 20′ video screen stole all the attention. This setup looked so nice, that American DJ (a major lighting manufacturer) featured it on one of their mailers. Click here to see it! Our hypeman, B. Frank, got challenged by a couple of students at a dance contest, and the whole room went wild! Check out the pictures and video...
