Jaqueline and Randall’s bangin’ wedding reception!

I really wish I had more photos and video! This wedding was a blast! From the choreographed first dance (which I provided dry ice clouds for) to non-stop dancing for 3 hours straight.. this was a wedding for the books! Check out this awesome wedding at the Crystal Ballroom in Casselberry, Florida! Jaqueline and Randall...

Gines and Katie’s LIT reception!

You HAVE to see the gallery below.. we brought in so much! First, let’s narrow down Katie and Gine’s favorite things: 1) Princess things (ok, that’s Katie’s) 2) Star Wars (that’s Gines) 3) Lights (that’s both of them) The venue was the youth room in their church. There’s no dimming lights and it’s literally a church, but that’s no issue to transform. After all, I did it for his friends, Eddie and Amber, years ago! (Click here to see that transformation!) So here’s what we came up with: We did 4 DW (dynamic white) light fills that gave us a warm candlelight look but would change to a cool right to give Katie’s dress a REAL pop! We complimented that with floods that gave us multiple colors, including a nice rose gold that Katie and Gines wanted Then we added some moving heads to do spotlight dances. With their zoom effect, they also doubled as floods We also did some wall projections to help hide the wall textures Rose gold uplighting was accomplished using HEX LED uplighting We did black pipe and drape behind the DJ (we didn’t supply the DJ nor sound) We did white pipe and drape behind the Sweetheart Table with 2 projectors stacked to make one big image of the Buckingham palace during dinner, Star Wars and other ambients during dancing. No GOBO monogram. Instead it was done with a high quality KVant Laser. We also did some cool animations during various points of the night and a laser fireworks show for their first dance. Why fireworks? It looked amazing as they did their first dance on a dry ice cloud! We also had one of our Snap Yourself Silly Photobooths! You gotta check out the photos and video below! Becky & Eric’s reception!

Kelly and I sweat out a few buckets setting up at Loew’s Royal Pacific near Universal Studios in Orlando, FL. However, it was totally worth it. Though the venue was outside, there were plenty of fans to keep us cool. Eric and Becky had one of the most varied playlists I’ve done in a long time. With requests from Top 40, rap, oldies all the way down to Africa’s Toto or even some Led Zeppelin, it was a challenge to mix it all together…. but it worked and the crowd kept eating it up! Check out the photos and video below! Becky and...

Margo & Stephen’s wedding!

Margo and Stephen held their wedding at Lake Ashton Golf & Country club in Lake Wales, FL. I am Lake Ashton’s lighting designer, so I get to handle almost all their events. For this wedding, Margo and Stephen chose wall projections, full dance floor floods, band floods on the stage as well as a very different “candlelit” look for the ceremony. Spotlights were set up for their entrance, first dance, cake cutting, and toast. Check out the pics and video below! Margo and Stephen’s...

Christina and Simoné’s beautiful wedding reception!

Christina and Simoné are such a fun couple. We had a blast planning their wedding, but the day of was (obviously) even more fun. Their ceremony overlooked the beautiful Bok Tower in Lake Wales. There is ZERO power available there, which is why we have battery-operated everything. Sure, some people go for generators, but that “chugchugchug” sound isn’t exactly the epitome of romantic. The reception was held in the Olmsted House. This quaint little area has two rooms: one for food, and one for dancing. There’s a beautiful patio area where guests can also enjoy that fresh Florida humidity, lol. Check out the photos and video below! Christina and Simoné...

#NefferGonnaGiveYouUp Amanda & Kyle’s Reception!

Amanda’s one of 4SchoolsOnly‘s valued clients- so I was super-honored when she contacted me to be her wedding DJ. The venue, Laurel Gardens, was a very cool gem in the literal middle of nowhere. Cecilia (the owner) was the nicest person you could think of! The wedding itself was gorgeous! Nice, cool weather made for a comfortable atmosphere as friends and family gathered around a 300+ year old oak (whose branches were so heavy they were bigger than most tree trunks and had to rest on the floor). The dinner was underneath a tent and guests all sang along to everything I played, especially 90s Boy Bands… we had a blast! We played the Show Game AKA the Newlywed Game, but as an added twist I had everyone text the questions in. The dance portion of the evening was underneath a draped canopy over the dance floor. It was the perfect place to party! Afterwards, everyone went outside for a lantern release, a lá Tangled. Check out the photos and video below; PLUS, you can listen to the mix from the dance portion, too! Listen to the complete mix...
